Meet Anya Fernald Of
Belcampo Meat Co X Traeger Grills
Anya Fernald made it her life's work to promote food produced in the most sustainable way possible.
Sustainable food expert and Belcampo co-founder Anya Fernald knows that animals raised in natural, outdoor conditions taste better, have a positive environmental impact, and are better for your health.
Belcampo was founded with a purpose: to create meat that's good for people, planet, and animals. What started as one mom's desire to feed her family the healthiest meat possible became a mission to revolutionize the industry from the inside out. In 2012, the 27K acres that would become Belcampo Farm was purchased. In the years since, we've expanded to include our own FDA-approved processing facility, full-service butcher shops, and restaurants serving authentic farm-to-table dining experiences. All this, so that we can own the supply chain and offer our customers total transparency from start to finish.
“We are really a different model. Better for the animals, tastes better, better for your health, positive impact on the environment. That's the four reasons I get out of bed every morning. That's the change I want to be a part of.”
Today, Belcampo Farms includes a carefully curated network of certified farmers committed to expanding the impact of our mission and transforming the food system one farm, one community, one table at a time.
Humane certification is the gold standard for the kind and responsible treatment of farm animals. Farms that are Certified Humane have been third-party verified and meet standards for feeding, access to the outdoors, and processing that ensure highest quality of life for animals at all phases of their lives.
Compared to conventionally kept animals, Belcampo's animals are raised on pastures where they roam and graze and are grass-fed and grass-finished.
