1 Pound | bacon, chopped |
1 | yellow onion, diced |
1 | green bell pepper, diced |

Step 1
Place bacon in a cold saute pan over medium heat. Cook until bacon is crispy and fat is rendered. Strain fat from bacon, reserving 2 Tbsp of bacon fat, and set bacon aside. Place reserved fat back into the saute pan and add onion and pepper.

1 Pound bacon, chopped
1 yellow onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
Step 2
Saute for 5-10 minutes until onions are translucent and peppers are tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3
When ready to cook, set temperature on the Traeger to 350 degrees F (175 C) and preheat 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
In a 9”x13” (22x33 cm) casserole dish combine beans, cooked bacon, onions and peppers, and all remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine.
Step 5
Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and place directly on the grill grate. Cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and darkened in color a little. Let rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.
